Emmanuel Desplechin
Emmanuel Desplechin
Secretary-General

Emmanuel leads the ePURE team, which he first joined in 2013 as Director of Government Affairs responsible for energy and environmental affairs. Before coming to ePURE, Emmanuel was Senior Manager for Public Affairs with Novozymes. His career in public affairs and advocacy also includes positions with UNICA, the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association, and the Industrial Ethanol Association. He holds a Master's Degree from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux and an LL.M in European Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid. A French citizen, Emmanuel also speaks English and Spanish.

Craig Winneker
Director of Communications

Craig has worked as a communications professional and journalist for more than 25 years in Brussels and Washington. He joined ePURE in December 2016 after having been news editor at Politico. Before that he was Director of Public Affairs at the European Crop Protection Association, and has also worked as Director of Political Communications for the European Photovoltaic Industry Association. His journalism career included top editorial positions with the Wall Street Journal Europe and European Voice in Brussels. He was also managing editor of Roll Call in Washington. He holds a BA in political science from Texas Christian University. A U.S. citizen whose mother tongue is English, Craig also speaks French.

Andreas Guth
Senior Manager Government Affairs

Andreas joined ePURE as Government Affairs Manager in January 2014. Previously, Andreas worked as Public Affairs Manager for the Association representing Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV). Prior to that he was a Consultant at Weber Shandwick. Andreas started his career as Trade Policy Manager for DigitalEurope, after spending six months as an intern at the European Commission DG Trade Market Access Unit. Andreas graduated in 2007 with a Master's Degree in Political Science from the University of Maastricht.


Maya Halaoui
Maya Halaoui
Office Manager

Maya is responsible for the office management of ePURE, focusing particularly on accounting, financials and administrative issues. She joined the ePURE office in Brussels in February 2015. Prior to that, she was an EU Affairs Associate with Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and also worked for DG Research & Innovation at the European Commission as well as at the International Law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel (GLN). Maya is Belgian and Lebanese. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management/Secretarial Studies and has 8 years' experience in that field.

Angelina Bartosik
Government Affairs Manager

Angelina joined ePURE in October 2015 and supports our public affairs team in the areas of energy and environmental affairs. Previously, she worked for the European Commission DG ENER, the European Geothermal Energy Council and the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU. Angelina holds Master's Degrees in International Relations from Kraków University of Economics and in International Business Economics and Management from Hogeschool Universiteit Brussel. She is also a graduate of Pedagogical University of Cracow in Renewable Energy (Postgraduate studies). She is fluent in Polish, English and German.

Victor Bernabeu
Technical Affairs Manager

Victor joined ePURE as Technical Affairs Manager in August 2016. Previously, he worked in the Oil and Gas sector, first as a Safety Engineer and then in Supply and Trading. He holds a MSc. in Energy Products from IFP School in Paris, a MSc. in Chemical Engineering and General Chemistry from Chimie ParisTech and a MSc. in Chemical Engineering from Paris VI University. A French citizen, Victor is fluent in French and English.

Alicja Rysztowska
Communications & Events Manager

Alicja joined ePURE’s Communications department in September 2017. Previously, she undertook strategic communication internships in a European NGO in Brussels and in a consulting firm in Luxembourg. After graduating from university, she worked in Luxembourg for a private bank, where her duties included internal communication management. Alicja has a Bachelor in Translation from the University of Mons and holds a Master’s degree in Communication and International relations from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. As a multilingual graduate, she also studied for several months at Moscow’s State University and speaks fluent French, Polish, English and Russian.
