Estonian parliament approves biofuel mandate

The Estonian parliament has approved the introduction of a biofuel mandate which is to start in 2018.

The mandate will be a 3.1% target and will begin in May 2018, rising to 6.4% from April 2019. The overall target of a 10% market share for renewable fuels in transport by 2020 remains in place as part of the Estonian government's implementation of the EU Renewable Energy Directive.
