What we do
With European institutions assuming an increasingly important role in influencing national legislation, it is important that the ethanol industry's voice is heard effectively at the EU level.
ePURE serves as the unified voice of the European renewable ethanol industry. Our objective is to ensure the formation of policies that promote the beneficial uses of ethanol in Europe. We pursue this by representing our member's interests to the European institutions, industry stakeholders, the media and general public.
Key policy areas in which ePURE represents the industry include
- Agriculture;
- Biofuels;
- Environment and climate change;
- Energy security;
- Taxation;
- Trade and customs;
- Transport.
Today ePURE represents its membership, and the European renewable ethanol industry as a whole, through:
- Providing a platform for sharing knowledge and insight on evolving industry developments;
- Producing accurate and timely information to members, policymakers, the media and the public;
- Speaking authoritatively for the renewable ethanol industry in key international fora;
- Working towards the improvement of the international economic and legal environment in which the industry operates;
- Communication activities and the organization of the annual European renewable ethanol conference.
