ePURE is a members-driven association, with a Board of Directors, Working Groups and a permanent Secretariat based in Brussels
Once a year all the members are represented in the General Assembly. The General Assembly confirms the annual budget and accounts, elects the President and Vice-President of the association and amends the association’s bylaws.
The Board of Directors consists of senior executives of European companies who produce renewable ethanol. The Board meets at least four times a year, and determines new strategies, policies, positions, actions and representations of the association. It delegates responsibilities to the President and the Secretary General and appoints the latter.
ePURE has a number of permanent Working Groups and Task Forces that provide technical expertise and advisory support to the Board on a number of topics. These groups are composed of experts from member companies and are coordinated by the Secretariat.
The Secretariat supports the Board, Working Groups and Task Forces, and is responsible for the day-to-day work of the association. The Secretary-General oversees the Secretariat’s work and ensures that the association’s priorities are being implemented.
